  FB12-012  Mutton Snapper Spawning Aggregation Seasonal Area Closure in Caribbean Federal Waters Begins at 12:01 a.m., Local Time, March 1, 2012 .  February 17, 2012. - NOAA Fisheries Service reminds the public that commercial and recreational fishing is prohibited from 12:01 a.m., local time, March 1 through June 30, each year in or from those parts of the mutton snapper spawning aggregation area that are in the exclusive economic zone.

  FB12-012S - Cierre de Temporada en el Área de la Agregación de Desove de la Sama en aquella porciónde las Aguas Federales del Caribe Americano al sudoeste de Santa Cruz, Islas Vírgenes Americanas, comenzando a las 12:01 a.m., hora local, efectivo el 1ro de marzo de 2012 - El Servicio Nacional de Pesquerías Marinas (NOAA Fisheries) recuerda al público en general que la pesca comercial y recreacional está prohibida desde las 12:01 a.m., hora local, del 1ro de marzo hasta el 30 de junio de cada año, en las aguas de la zona económica exclusiva del area conocida como el área de desove de la sama al sudeste de Santa Cruz, Islas Vírgenes Americanas.

NMFS proposes to amend the regulations that implement section 401(g) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (MSA). The amendments would eliminate duplicative permitting and registration requirements for holders of Main Hawaiian Islands Non-commercial Bottomfish Permits; allow states that exempt minors under the age of 17 from the state license or registration requirements to be eligible for Exempted State designation; allow the U.S. Virgin Islands to be designated as an Exempted State under the qualifying regional survey option of the rule; and clarify and update various provisions of the rule.
